Transitional Youth Academy is a community prevention program that prepares 12 to 20-year old high-risk and foster care youth for a successful future. The program offers the opportunity to finish high school, gain employment in innovative fields, be supported by a mentor, and receive training in life skills. Through this program, at-risk youth are given the support and skills needed to succeed so that they avoid becoming homeless or incarcerated. Transitional Youth Academy works with County Probation, Foster Care, Juvenile Court, and Tri-City Schools to identify those youth most at-risk and most in need of services. |
Transitional Youth Academy offers youth the following services: |
- Academic Training and High School Diploma
- Career Assessments
- One-on-One Mentoring
- Paid Pre-apprenticeship Program
- Apprenticeship Placement in Various Trades
- Financial Literacy Training with a Matching Fund Donation
- Soft Skills Training
- Vocational Case Management
- Behavioral Health & Case Management Services
- Gang Prevention and Intervention

Interfaith Community Services is the lead agency for Transitional Youth Academy and will provide most services in one primary location in Oceanside.
