Incarnation Lutheran Hosts 2018 Day of Service

ilc lunch2Incarnation Lutheran Church Day of Service is an event we look forward to annually at Interfaith Community Services! On the first Sunday of November, 144 members of the church arrived to hold their worship service in the Interfaith nutrition center complete with music and communion.

Immediately after the service, teams from Incarnation dispersed to various Interfaith sites in Escondido neighborhoods to focus on gardening, painting, cleaning, repairing playground equipment, hanging holiday lights, and building sack lunches, hygiene kits, and packages of dog and cat food. They tap into their creativity by decorating placemats for use during Thanksgiving dinner, make banners of cheer, and pen messages of hope. When all the work is done, everyone gathers again at Interfaith’s nutrition center to lunch together.

The congregation of Incarnation Lutheran Church demonstrates wholehearted acts of kindness and loving service, making it a day to remember!
