Did You Know?

Most people think the homeless in America are old, male, and single?

The TRUTH is: the average age of a homeless person in America today is NINE years old! Every night in North County, there are more than 1,000 homeless children.

Last year, Interfaith Community Services served more than 35,000 indviduals. 49% of Interfaith's homeless clients are women, and close to 40% are families.

To learn more about Interfaith Community Services' programs, join our staff for a tour and see Interfaith-In-Action. Contact us today at (760) 489-6380.

Change Lives: Donate Now!

There has been a staggering increase in the number of people turning to Interfaith for food, work, and housing. Sadly, homelessness is on the rise. Some supporters have even turned to us for help during their own time of need.

To respond to the growing needs of our community while also enhancing existing services, we have launched a $4.5 million campaign to retire all shelter and housing debt.

For more than 30 years, Interfaith has carefully developed more than $20 million worth of housing programs throughout North County providing housing to more than 400 people every night. Lifting UP Our Neighbors will retire all remaining housing debts while also strengthening all of Interfaith's programs and services.

During tough times we must cut costs, but we must do so in a way that secures and strengthens the safety net for our community's most vulnerable.

Reaching Our Goal: Only One Mortgage Remains

Interfaith Community Services is excited to report that three of our four mortgages featured in the Capital Campaign have been retired! More than $10,000 a month is already being redirected to strengthen and enhance services. Once we retire the final mortgage on our Oceanside Veterans Housing, Interfaith will save an additional $20,000 a month, for a total of more than $30,000 each month that will be used to intensify direct programs and services!

The remarkable success of our campaign has been made possible by the Leichtag Family Foundation, who generously approved a $1 million challenge grant. With additional matching support from Betty & Melvin Cohn, every donation and pledge towards the campaign has been matched dollar for dollar.

We need your help today to retire our final mortgage. Your charitable support to retire the final mortgage will directly help struggling veterans in our community while simultaneously strengthening services for more than 35,000 of your neighbors each year.

We invite you to join us in Lifting UP Our Neighbors...
