Anonymous Donor Matches 25 Cities Donations

Earlier this week, a generous anonymous donor stepped forward and pledged to match the first $1,000 donated to the 25 Cities San Diego, North County initiative!

In San Diego’s North County region, the 25 Cities San Diego initiative is coordinated with the Alliance for Regional Solutions, a collaboration that includes the partnership of over 30 community organizations.  Interfaith Community Services leads on-the-ground efforts to establish a coordinated path to ending the cycle of homelessness in North County and serves as the fiscal agent for the Alliance for Regional Solutions.  Key public partners in this initiative also include the Department of Veterans Affairs, County of San Diego, as well as all nine North County municipalities.

With your help, 25 Cities San Diego’s efforts in North County will initially work to end homelessness within the North County inland region, and will then expand to the greater North County area.  The initiative’s goals include:

1) Establish and utilize a Coordinated Assessment and Housing Placement System

2) Set a path to end veteran homelessness

Community support is critical to ending homelessness in North County.  Donations will help hard-working homeless individuals and families who have an income, but can’t afford the initial expense of a security deposit and first-months rent.  Donations also help create Welcome Home Kits that will help homeless families get started in their new home with furniture, cookware, appliances, bedding and bath supplies.
