For those sleeping on the streets, a warm bed, nutritious meal and access to a shower is a gift. Interfaith’s Haven House Year-round Shelter provides these basic necessities, along with comprehensive case management and support, to homeless community members. Fifty-seven percent of individuals who stayed at the shelter last winter went on to secure safe and affordable housing. The shelter will reopen December 1, 2015.

The following assignments reflect nightly volunteer needs at Haven House. Volunteers may sign up for one or as many shifts as they would like. End times are approximate and flexible depending on volunteers’ availability. While the various shelter volunteer assignments are outlined below, please keep in mind that an individual could cover numerous positions.  If you have the desire and willingness to help in the shelter, we will find a spot for you. The shelter is occupied by 40 individuals (30 men, 10 women) with two Shelter Management staff present at all times.
