Henry Schein Orthodontics donates backpacks & school supplies to TYA students
Just in time for the school year to start, the local branch of Henry Schein Orthodontics has donated nearly 80 backpacks filled with classroom supplies, such as notebooks, pencils & pens, notecards and more, as well as middle & high school level books to Interfaith’s Transitional Youth Academy. The supplies will be split up between the program’s locations at Oceanside High School, El Camino High School, and the after school drop-in center at the Ditmar School.
Headquartered in New York, Henry Schein is the world’s largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, animal health and medical practitioners. With affiliates in 33 countries, Henry Schein is a FORTUNE 500 Company, employs more than 19,000 team members across the globe and serves more than one million customers.
“There’s no better way to kick off the beginning of the semester than surprising our students with brand new school supplies,” said Greg Anglea, Executive Director at Interfaith Community Services. “Our staff supports the students in their growth both inside and out of the classroom, but without generous donors like Henry Schein, we really couldn’t help our students reach their full potential. We cannot say thank you enough for this incredible donation.”
