Every year the most conscientious, productive individuals and families Interfaith serves are nominated by staff for the Holiday Adopt-a-Family program. The individuals and families are then anonymously matched with generous adopters who fulfill their wishes for the holiday season and provide them with a feeling of comfort, support, and community.
Adopt-a-Family is a large-scale effort requiring time, energy, and goodwill! You can be part of the JOY and make this the most successful year ever when you adopt and/or volunteer your time to organize your friends, family, colleagues, faith members, and others to participate as adopters.
To sign up to adopt, please complete the online Adopt-a-Family form. We will then match you to an individual or family and provide detailed information about their holiday wishes as well as provide shopping and gift drop-off information.
If you are unable to complete the online application, please call or visit our headquarters at 550 W. Washington Ave., Escondido (760-489-6380, ext. 207), to complete a hard copy form.

If you or your group do not wish to shop this year, you can still make a difference by donating to the Holiday Adopt-a-Family program via a check or credit card gift.
To donate online by credit card, visit:
- Click “DONATE” in the top right-hand corner
- Choose a donation amount or click “Other” to enter your donation amount
- From the drop-down menu “How should we use your donation?,” select “Holiday Adopt A Family”
- Scroll down the page to enter the security code and click Submit
