Local Student Dedicates Year-Long Project to Interfaith
Kate, a seventh grader at The Rhoades School, recently completed a year-long volunteer project to benefit Interfaith as part of a program called “Change Makers” at her school.
Throughout the year, Kate delivered 870 sack lunches to our Oceanside, Escondido and Carlsbad locations. She also set up a GoFundMe campaign & raised an incredible $1,770 in donations from my teachers, family and friends for food & supplies.
After spending what she needed to make all of her sack lunches, Kate still had an incredible $740 left over – of which she is turning over to Interfaith as an additional monetary donation
When asked why she decided the get involved with Interfaith for this project, Kate said: “I realized that every food donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference for others in need.”
We thank Kate for her inspiring philanthropic spirit & dedication to making this project exceed all possible expectations! She is a wonderful young woman who will continue to help so many others in our community for many, many years to come.
