Needs of the Week: February 21

At the beginning of every week, Interfaith will be sharing both an in-kind donation and volunteer project “Need of the Week.” These are currently the items and volunteer projects we need the most assistance with. Give us a call today at (760) 489-6380 ext. 204 to get involved today!

Volunteer Need of the Week: Breakfast Greeter

Give hope and joy to our clients eating breakfast in our daily soup kitchen! The Basic Needs department is recruiting volunteers who will be responsible for welcoming clients to our morning breakfast while collecting data to enable us to record the number of unduplicated clients and the number of meals served. You will accomplish this task by scanning client bar codes from Interfaith ID cards provided to clients. Your efforts will help us to collect accurate data as we plan and serve breakfast each day of the year!

This is on going (6+ month), weekly commitment. Available shifts are 6:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.

In-Kind Need of the Week: Queen-sized bedding

You can help Interfaith clients settle into their new homes by donating queen-sized bedding! Often times, when an individual or family has been homeless and then is able to move into a new apartment or house, they don’t have the belongings or furnishings needed to live comfortably.  By donating queen-sized sheets to Interfaith, you can help us provide our clients with a necessity that is often over looked.

If you are interested in either of these opportunitiesplease click here or call Micki Hickox, Volunteer Coordinator, at (760) 489-6380 ext. 204.
