Needs of the Week: June 12th

Every week, Interfaith will be sharing both an in-kind donation and volunteer project “Need of the Week.” These are currently the items and volunteer projects we need the most assistance with. Give us a call today at (760) 489-6380 ext. 204 to get involved today!

This week, we need your help coming both volunteer time and in-kind donations:

Volunteer Need of the Week: Client Intake Volunteers

An intake volunteer is essential to the service Interfaith offers to people in the community. You will be the connection to resources for clients who need assistance with basic needs, vital documents, prescriptions, employment services, transportation, public benefits, and more. With empathy and resourcefulness, an intake volunteer provides intake, assessment, and referrals for the homeless and low-income populations, with the goal of moving clients from crisis to self-sufficiency.

Opportunities available in both:

  • Escondido: Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
  • Oceanside: Thursdays & Fridays from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

In-Kind Need of the Week: Rice

Interfaith is in need of rice that we can include in emergency food kits distributed to our clients in need of nutritional support. When individuals and families are in need of nutritional support, they can receive 5-day emergency food kits from Interfaith; your donation will help our clients receiving this support alleviate their hunger so they may move forward on their path to attaining self-sufficiency.
