Needs of the Week: March 20th

At the beginning of every week, Interfaith will be sharing both an in-kind donation and volunteer project “Need of the Week.” These are currently the items and volunteer projects we need the most assistance with. Give us a call today at (760) 489-6380 ext. 204 to get involved today!

Volunteer Need of the Week: Computer Lab Assistant – Escondido & Oceanside

One of the largest contributing factors to homelessness is unemployment or underemployment. Support those looking to improve their lives by assisting them with their search for employment by providing one-on-one computer tutoring, help with resumes and cover letters, online applications and basic computer programs. You will provide community members in need with invaluable tools necessary to reach self-sufficiency.

This is an on-going (6+ months), weekly commitment. You may sign up for 1 or more shifts per week.

Escondido Openings: Mondays, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm; Tuesdays, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm; Wednesdays, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm; Fridays, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Oceanside Openings: Mondays – Thursdays 9:00 am to 1:00 pm;
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm; Fridays 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

In-Kind Need of the Week: Lamps & Dressers

You can help Interfaith clients settle into their new homes by donating lamps and dressers! Often times, when an individual or family has been homeless and then is able to move into a new apartment or house, they don’t have the belongings or furnishings needed to live comfortably.  By donating lamps and dressers to Interfaith, you can help us provide our clients with a necessity that is often over looked.

If you are interested in either of these opportunitiesplease click here or call Micki Hickox, Volunteer Coordinator, at (760) 489-6380 ext. 204.
