Needs of the Week: March 6th

At the beginning of every week, Interfaith will be sharing both an in-kind donation and volunteer project “Need of the Week.” These are currently the items and volunteer projects we need the most assistance with. Give us a call today at (760) 489-6380 ext. 204 to get involved today!

Volunteer Need of the Week: Road to Recovery Driver

Who doesn’t feel better after a nutritious meal? We know residents recuperating from serious illnesses or injuries at our Hawthorne Veteran and Family Resource Center do! You can help our residents become healthy again by transporting meals from our kitchen at our headquarters to the Hawthorne Center. While you are there, help serve the meal and afterwards, return the equipment back to our headquarters.

This is an on-going commitment; both weekday and weekend shifts are available.

In-Kind Need of the Week: Canned Beans

Interfaith is in need of canned beans that we can include in emergency food kits distributed to our clients in need of nutritional support. All kinds of beans are needed – pinto beans, black beans, kidney beans, baked beans and garbanzo beans are appreciated. When individuals and families are in need of nutritional support, they can receive 5-day emergency food kits from Interfaith; your donation will help our clients receiving this support alleviate their hunger so they may move forward on their path to attaining self-sufficiency.
