Needs of the Week: May 1st

Every week, Interfaith will be sharing both an in-kind donation and volunteer project “Need of the Week.” These are currently the items and volunteer projects we need the most assistance with. Give us a call today at (760) 489-6380 ext. 204 to get involved today!

Volunteer Need of the Week: Road to Recovery Driver

Who doesn’t feel better after a nutritious meal? We know residents recuperating from serious illnesses or injuries at Interfaith’s Hawthorne Veteran Family and Resource Center do! Help them become healthy again and provide the basic need of nutrition by transporting meals (along with our cook) from our kitchen at 550 West Washington Avenue, Escondido to our recuperative care center at 250 North Ash Street, Escondido. While you are there, help serve the meal and afterwards return our equipment (and cook) back to our main campus.

Note: Your vehicle must have enough space to carry 3 to 4 coolers.

In-Kind Need of the Week: Rice

Interfaith is in need of rice that we can include in emergency food kits distributed to our clients in need of nutritional support. When individuals and families are in need of nutritional support, they can receive 5-day emergency food kits from Interfaith; your donation will help our clients receiving this support alleviate their hunger so they may move forward on their path to attaining self-sufficiency.
