At the beginning of every week, Interfaith will be sharing both an in-kind donation and volunteer project “Need of the Week.” These are currently the items and volunteer projects we need the most assistance with. Give us a call today at (760) 489-6380 ext. 204 to get involved today!

Need of the Week: Driver for Veteran Services

Help the healing begin – whether you are transporting (in Interfaith vehicles) homeless veterans and non-veterans when they are released from local medical centers (VA Hospital in La Jolla, Palomar Medical Center, Tri-City Medical Center) to recuperate from a serious illness or injury at the Hawthorne Veteran and Family Resource Center or delivering vets to various appointments (such as medical/dental, church, support groups, shopping), you are WANTED! Be a driver and be the first face of Interfaith as clients build their strength!

More details about this position include:

·This is an on-going (6+ months), weekly commitment

·Weekdays — shifts vary and can start as early as 7:00 am and end as late as 5:00 pm based on need and volunteer availability

·Weekends – Saturday: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm; Sunday: 8:00 am to 12:00 noon

Current openings:

·All shifts (weekdays and weekends) available. You may sign up for one or more shifts per week.

Diapers, sizes 5 & 6, and baby wipes

Help families in need by donating two baby essentials: diapers (specifically sizes 5 & 6) and wipes! These items are often expensive and are not always at top of mind for donors. You can support local children by giving today!
