An intake volunteer is essential to the service Interfaith offers to people in the community. With empathy and resourcefulness, an intake volunteer will provide intake, assessment, and referrals for the homeless and low-income population, with the goal of moving clients from crisis to self-sufficiency.

If you are a person with social services experience, excellent interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work with a diverse population along with solid values such as honesty, loyalty, sincerity, and reliability, we want YOU!

Hygiene kits may seem like a simple donation, but for those who are unable to take a shower regularly or cannot afford to purchase toothpaste, they may mean much more than just cleanliness.  Good hygiene can help someone retain they dignity and sense of self-worth. By purchasing and preparing hygiene kits, you can help individuals and families begin to regain their self-sufficiency. Items you can put in your hygiene kit include, but are not limited to:

  • Bars of soap
  • Toothpaste and toothbrush
  • Dental floss
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Shaving cream
  • Razors
  • Washcloths
  • Feminine hygiene products
