Offering Hope in Housing Raises Funds for Struggling Families

Screenshot 2015-12-03 12.30.04To help Interfaith meet the needs of homeless families in North San Diego County, the Faith Leaders Council, led by Reverend Meg Decker of Trinity Episcopal Church in Escondido, organized a special offering this past September to keep struggling families stay in their homes, as well as help move homeless families into their own homes with rental and security deposit assistance.

Held over Labor Day weekend, congregations participating in the Offering Hope in Housing project asked their members to give a second offering on September 5th and 6th, raising an incredible $7,415.18! With these donations, Interfaith will be able to making housing a possibility for families in our community who thought having a roof over their heads was out of reach. We thank all of the congregations that helped make this collaborative fundraising event such a huge success!
