Lisa came to Interfaith in need of a place to recover after she found herself in the hospital with a broken hip, a result of her alcohol addiction. After her recovery, Lisa transitioned into Interfaith’s Behavioral Health & Recovery Program, where she lived for a year and began practicing something that surprised her: art therapy. Today, Lisa is sober, lives in her own home in Encinitas and volunteers with Interfaith, teaching arts & crafts to veterans currently enrolled in the Recuperative Care Program. “Interfaith saved my life, no doubt about it. I wouldn’t have lasted long on the streets; they gave me a home and my sobriety.”
