Volunteers Needed!

Development volunteer Josie with Development Coordinator Larry Christensen

Volunteers are vital to our success at Interfaith. Whether you are interested in volunteering individually or as part of a group, we have a variety of projects to suit your interests and skill level.

While new opportunities evolve daily, below are a few examples of ways you can support Interfaith as a volunteer:

  • Housing Navigator: Identify and coordinate housing for homeless veterans and their families. Link families with community-based housing and service resources, manage financial assistance funds (security deposits, rent, etc.), conduct housing habitability inspections and build housing stability linkages for clients.
  • Hiring Specialist: Connect clients with employers at Interfaith’s Carlsbad Hiring Center. Assist clients with creating email accounts and completing online job applications.
  • Donor Stewardship: Help show appreciation to the generous donors who make our work possible. Stewardship volunteers work alongside Development Staff, calling and thanking donors who have recently made gifts to Interfaith.

Interested in one of the above opportunities? Contact Volunteer Coordinator Micki Hickox or call (760) 489-6380 ext. 204.  For a complete listing of all open volunteer opportunities, please click here.
