Food and Basic Needs

If you’re looking to begin any program or comprehensive case management, please begin by filling out the “Inquiry Form.” Someone from our team will message you to begin the intake process and measure your eligibility for program support.

Morning Meals

A free breakfast served to homeless and low-income community members every morning in Escondido from 6:30 a.m. until 7:00 a.m.

Daily Showers

Every weekday morning in Escondido, individuals can access showers and laundry facilities starting at 5:00 a.m.

Case Management

Through weekly or regular meetings, individuals work to identify, prioritize and build plans for long-term stability.

Emergency Food

Customized food supplies to program members from Carlsbad, Escondido, and Oceanside pantries.

Communications

Mail, phone, fax, and copy machines available at Escondido Headquarters. Must sign up prior to directing your mail.

Homeless Prevention

Temporary rental assistance available to assist households whose employment income has been negatively impacted.

Free tax preparation for low-income families and individuals, with a focus on providing Earned Income Tax Credit.

Immigration Clinic

Obtain referral form with immigration lawyer about pending case, or receive general information.

Legal Aid

Expert legal advice for individuals and families facing legal problems. Only available fourth Wednesday monthly.

Minor Home Repairs

Assist in making small home repairs for qualified seniors in North San Diego. For availability call: (760) 504-4486.

Project CARE

CARE maintains independence of seniors and disabled seniors with supportive services. For availability call: 760-504-4092.

Senior Support

Emergency financial support to ensure seniors can remain independent through assistance from trained advocates. For availability call: 760-504-4092.

Substance-Use Treatment

This program’s goal is to create immediate access points for a variety of treatment services. Generally, program members are introduced on a referral basis though our Homelessness Outreach and Shelters program. Submit a request for more information through the “Inquiry Form.”

Detox

14 day short-term stabilization program focused on rest and recuperation with 24/7 observation by trained staff and individualized schedule including groups and individual sessions. Primary goal is successful transition into a Residential or Outpatient treatment program.

Residential

3 month residential program provides a collaborative approach to treatment planning, resulting in individualized goals such as sobriety, improved mental and physical health, employment and/or education preparation and connection with stable housing resources.

Outpatient

Outpatient counseling sessions, classes and groups are offered weekday afternoons and evenings and are designed to support recovery through healthy coping skills, strengthening supportive relationships and increasing confidence as clients continue to rebuild their life and regain their sense of purpose.

Vocational Training

Carlsbad Service Center’s Day Labor Program provides a safe and dignified place where day laborers can register for and sign up for daily job opportunities. The goal of this program is to build financial independence and stability for people in crisis. Our staff works with you one-on-one to set employment goals and meets with you regularly to work through each step of your plan, all while receiving the direction and encouragement needed to succeed. Veterans can find sustainable employment, vocational training programs, and receive comprehensive case management.

Basic Needs

Interfaith’s Self-Sufficiency and Supportive Services provide access to comprehensive programs that empower the community to lead independent and thriving lives. Through assessments, case management, and supportive services, Interfaith ensures community members reach self-sufficiency. Included in these programs are also nutritional services and access to basic needs.

Hiring Halls

Laborers connect with employers for daily, temporary, or permanent jobs. Hosted at our Carlsbad Service Center.

Housing Solutions

The goal of each of these services is to bridge our program members from homelessness to long-term housing. Aside from our Haven House Emergency Shelter, housing programs are only accessible on a referral basis through external organizations or Interfaith case managers. Submit a request for eligibility through the “Inquiry Form” below.

Emergency Shelter

Haven House provides emergency housing for up to 49 homeless people each night in Escondido. Availability: (760) 489-6380 ext. 276

Short-term Housing

Temporary beds for people with or without a housing intervention already in place to assist in their transition from homelessness to permanent housing.

Permanent Housing

Permanent housing units and programs provide safe and affordable housing for homeless community members as well as families with a disabled adult.

Grants Per Diem

Service intensive and bridge housing for adult Veterans located in Oceanside. For availability call:(760) 489-6380

Family Shelter

Stable environment for traditional and non-traditional families to temporarily stay while seeking permanent housing.

Behavioral Health

Temporary housing for unhoused people struggling with mental health. Referrals made through Mental Health Systems.

The TBRA program provides short-term, temporary rent subsidies and other housing-related expenses for families in the City of Oceanside with low-income and unstable housing situations.

Screenings only available the 1st – 15th of each month. 

Rapid Re-Housing

Short to moderate-term financial assistance for people and families experiencing homelessness.

Recuperative Care

Short-term residential care for people experiencing homelessness after being discharged from local hospitals.
