Hope is Within Reach

Dear Interfaith Supporter,

Our People for People fund continues to provide vital services for local families and individuals in need. Since its launch in October 2025, we have supported 252 households with the community-powered fund. However, with inflation and increased gas prices, we have seen a greater need. Regular donors have returned to Interfaith, seeking services for their own families. Thank you to everyone who has supported the people we serve with your generous donations.

Here is one client the fund has assisted:

Clark Feldman was experiencing street homelessness before entering a local shelter. After securing employment as a kitchen worker at a nearby restaurant, Clark finally had the opportunity to start saving for permanent housing. The one thing standing in his way was the cost of a work uniform. With the People for People Fund, Interfaith covered that cost, ensuring he could start the job and keep moving forward. Now, working alongside his case manager, Clark's next goal is to find a roommate and secure stable housing.

Summertime Sunshine and Service

Interfaith’s Kids Summer of Service is back! Parents are invited to bring their children to volunteer with us this summer. With several opportunities to choose from, there is something for everyone. Log three or more shifts and you’ll earn an official Interfaith Summer Services Hours Certificate.

Share these options with your children and let them pick what stands out to them:

• Pantry Party Crew – Crank the tunes, sort the goods, and keep our shelves stocked like pros.

• Snack-Pack Superheroes – Assemble grab-and-go snack bags that fuel our neighbors on busy days.

• Scoop-Squad Rockstars – Scoop, portion, and bag rice, beans, and pet food for local families.

• Kindness-Card Creators – Craft uplifting notes and doodles for every snack bag and hygiene kit.

• Lunch-Bunch Legends – Parent and kid team up to serve lunch for clients in our Recuperative Care Program. Age 10 years and up!

Parents must accompany their children under 18 at all times.

Meal with a Mission

Want to learn more about Interfaith and the incredible work we’re doing with the community? Join us for our next Taste of Interfaith on Thursday, July 9th from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Oceanside Navigation Center. You will take a tour of the shelter, enjoy a delicious meal, and hear directly from Interfaith’s CEO, Greg Anglea. Come with any questions you may have about our organization and learn how you can get involved!

To further our mission to helping people in need, we invite guests to bring non-perishable items for our pantry.

Celebrating Fashion and Fathers

Introducing our very first Father-Daughter Fashion Show! In honor of Father’s Day, Kind Threads is inviting the community to participate in this exciting event. Fathers, stepfathers, and father figures are all welcome to bring their daughters to this event. We'll provide the stylish outfits. All you need to bring is your positive energy and be ready to strut the runway together.  

This event is free for all to attend.

• Where: Kind Threads (251 N City Drive, San Marcos, CA 92078)
