The Super Summer Challenge is On

Dear Interfaith Supporter,

This summer, a generous community member is calling on neighbors across North County to make an even greater impact on families and individuals in need. From now until August 7th, all donations to the People for People fund will be matched, dollar for dollar, thanks to a $150,000 challenge gift.

Since launching in October 2025, the Fund has helped over 300 neighbors in need. Here is just one of their stories:

When Christina Ruiz unexpectedly lost her job, money got tight fast and she struggled to keep up with expenses. Unable to make rent payments, she, her boyfriend, and their young daughter were served a three-day eviction notice, with their home suddenly at risk.

Christina turned to Interfaith for help. Through the People for People Fund, we covered the family's July rent, keeping them safely housed and out of homelessness. Today, Christina continues her job search with her case manager by her side, providing ongoing guidance and support every step of the way.

Right now, your gift goes twice as far. Join the Super Summer Challenge, and together we will defeat homelessness and poverty in North County. Our neighbors are counting on us.

School’s Out for Summer☀️

Interfaith’s Summer of Service – Kids Edition is in full force! We invite you and your junior heroes to suit up and turn a few hours into a huge community impact. Log three or more shifts to earn an official Summer Service-Hours Certificate. Perfect for bragging rights and those future college applications!

Our opportunities include the Pantry Party Crew, Snack-Sack Superheroes, Scoop-Squad Rockstars, Kindness-Card Creators, and Lunch-Bunch Legends. Parents must be present for all minors under the age of 18.

Popping Up in North County

Community Healthcare Day

Interfaith is thrilled to partner with Neighborhood Healthcare again for the annual Community Healthcare Day! Join us Tuesday, August 4th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Interfaith’s 550 W. Washington Ave headquarters in Escondido.  

We will be collaborating with organizations across North County to bring vital resources and services to our neighbors experiencing homelessness, including showers, haircuts, pet supplies and healthcare, human trafficking support, birth certificate assistance and ID vouchers, and so much more.  

For those looking to support the event, we are accepting new or gently used shoes and backpacks. All donations will be accepted through Friday, July 24th. Please drop them off during normal business hours at our headquarters.
