Meet Noelia! As our Family Shelter Case Manager, she helps parents and children navigate challenges and move toward greater stability through compassionate support, housing navigation, employment services, and more.
When asked about what this month means to her, Noelia shared:
“As a first-generation Mexican American, being Hispanic means carrying a strong sense of family, community, and responsibility for others. Family unity is something we hold especially close, and it has deeply influenced both who I am and the work I do.
As a case manager, I support people in navigating challenges and remind them that they don’t have to face difficult circumstances alone. In many ways, this is something I grew up witnessing within my own family.
Caring for others is a value my mother and siblings have modeled throughout my life. My Hispanic identity has shaped my understanding of what it means to support others, and I carry that sense of compassion, family, and community into the work I do every day.”
